Ghosts ‘N Goblins: Gold Knights Hands-On
Ghosts ‘N Goblins, a classic action game infamous for its extreme levels of difficulty, has had a 3D remake on IOS for quite some time now. Currently only available in Japan, I spent some hands-on time with the Android version of this game. While Ghosts ‘N Goblins is not Xperia Play optimized and doesn’t work with the gamepad, it does work perfectly with the aid of GameKeyboard. The game play and even level design is exactly the same as the original games but now come with 3D graphics and extra special effects. This time around, you have two characters to play as, Arthur, the original hero, and Lancelot, a new addition to the series. Difficult doesn’t even begin to describe this game, but it never feels like it is unfair, just hard as nails. The 3D graphics also play into the experience a little, with each stage constantly shifting the ground beneath your character and ambushing him from the background. Capcom is very slow to release their games on Android so who knows when this game will land on the Google Play store. Here’s a hands-on video I shot of the first level.
