Glu Mobile Announces Frontline Commando: D-Day
Glu Mobile has been on a roll recently, releasing several new games within a short period of each other. More than a few have been sequels to existing franchises, and it looks like the trend will continue with Glu today announcing Frontline Command: D-day on their twitter account complete with an accompanying trailer. Frontline Commando was a third person cover based shooter that had the player defending barricades from attackers from a stationary position.
Frontline Commando: D-Day will expand on the formula found in its predecessor with a new setting, better graphics, and a host of new gameplay options. No longer confined to just one part of the level, players will move between cover positions as they advance through over 145 stages spread out across 5 campaigns. In addition to console quality visuals, environments in Frontline Command: D-Day will be completely destructible, which should introduce some interesting gameplay scenarios to the Frontline Commando franchise. As with the majority of Glu’s games, Frontline Commando: D-Day will be free to play with IAP’s, look for it to release in the coming weeks.
