GDC 2013 Roundup: Zombies, Hedgehogs And More
GDC is always a thrilling spectacle. It’s the place where the years top games are shown off, many for the first time. Here are a few of the publishers making waves at this years Game Developers Conference.
Sega appealed to both old school and new school gamers with the announcements of Sonic The Hedgehog and House Of The Dead: Overkill – The Lost Reels coming soon to Android. Sonic The Hedgehog will be an Android optimized version of the original Genesis classic while House Of the Dead: Overkill – The Lost Reels will continue the trend of Wii games being ported over to Android with a copious amount of zombie carnage.
While we already knew an Iron Man 3 game was coming thanks to a leaked document that detailed Gameloft’s game lineup for 2013, Gameloft took the opportunity to officially announce the game and even showed off an official trailer. Iron Man 3 will be an endless runner style game launching on April 25th with an emphasis on aerial combat.
Dungeon Hunter 4 also got a new teaser trailer.
NetherRealms announced a mobile version of Injustice: Gods Among Us is in the works. No release date or screenshots were given but if NetherRealms last game Batman: Arkham City Lockdown is any indicator it will likely be an Infinity Blade style game.
Wargaming.net’s insanely popular World Of Tanks Blitz is coming to Android. This MMO will feature 7v7 PvP tank fights.
THE HUMBLE MOBILE BUNDLE
This week also saw the release of the first Humble Mobile Bundle which included the debut of Apple’s 2012 iPad game of the year The Room on Android.
GDC 2013 isn’t over yet, expect even more games to be announced in the coming days.
