Gaijin Entertainment’s War Thunder Coming To Android
Gaijin Entertainment announced the development of an Android version of their popular PC MMO War Thunder via their website today, tentatively titled War Thunder Mobile. War Thunder is a vehicle combat MMO set during WWII that features massive PvP battles. Players will pilot hyper realistic planes, tanks, destroyers and more in recreations of some of WWII’s greatest conflicts.
While this version won’t support cross platform multiplayer with the PC edition at launch, Android and iOS players will be able to duke it out anywhere they have a data connection. A new game mode unique to War Thunder Mobile will be “Dogfight”, which will provide shorter matches more suited to mobile gaming.
Gaijin Entertainment promises War Thunder Mobile will include all of War Thunder’s amazing graphics, intense realism, and over the top aerial battles. Freshly released screenshots from the developer confirms War Thunder Mobile will look every bit as good as its PC counterpart.
Pavel Kulikov, the Executive Producer of War Thunder had this to say about War Thunder Mobile:
In our PC version of the game we progressively implement ‘all-vs-all’ gaming modes, where we have air forces, ground forces and naval units fighting simultaneously on the same battlefield. Firstly, we’ve introduced combat aircraft, with tanks and warships to come very soon. War Thunder mobile will be developed in the same way — first, we’ll give you WWII fighters and bombers, then tanks and naval units.
War Thunder Mobile is expected to release sometime later this year.
