Psychedelic Sci Fi Shooter GRIDD 2 Flys Onto Android
Developer AntabStudio, best known for their tilt based shooter GRIDD on Windows Phone, has released an action packed sequel that takes the shoot ’em up series into a new dimension. GRIDD 2 is the 3rd person shooter continuation of the original title that retains the trippy visuals from before but utilizes a familiar tilt based control scheme in an entirely new and logical way.
Players will pilot a ship in a Geometry Wars style environment using their phones accelerometer. They’ll have to defeat wave after wave of enemy ships, with a few intimidating boss battles along the way. Like many of its top down shooter cousins GRIDD 2 drops generous amounts of power ups to tip the balance in the players favor. Double shot, lasers, and more will help the player destroy his retro-esque enemies.
GRIDD 2 sports some impressive visuals thanks to the Unity 3D engine and some smart character design. This is what happens when you make a 3rd person perspective bullet hell shooter.
GRIDD 2 is an action packed debut for AntabStudio on Android. You can pick it up for $1.31 on Google Play.
