Carmageddon Swerves Onto Android May 10th
Fans of the gruesome PC classic Carmageddon have reason to celebrate as the legendary racing title will be available for Android on May 10th.
For those unfamiliar with the franchise, Carmageddon was a racing game set in a busy city that let players decide what path to take to the finish line. It had the censors and politicians up in arms due to it having the disturbing feature of running crowds of pedestrians over in a ridiculously gory fashion. Players were rewarded points for the vehicular carnage and a kill meter in the corner of the screen kept track of everything. It was also a really fun racing title that gave players freedom from a preset, narrow racetrack.
The new mobile version from Stainless Games keeps everything that made the original so great and adds nitrous to the mix by pumping up Carmageddons graphics to HD levels along with optimizing it for Android tablets by offering multiple control schemes.

Carmageddon will be free for the first 24 hours after launch. After that it will be a full paid game, so make sure you download it as soon as it comes out for some free classic gaming.
