Hiversaires Brings Abstract Adventure To Android

For those that appreciate more of an artistic approach to gaming, a newly released adventure title called Hiversaires may just fit the bill. This bleak, abstract, point and click style game evokes the play mechanics of Myst but without the mysterious island. Heavy on minimalism, Hiversaires features virtually no tutorials or hints of any kind. It’s up to the player to figure out the maddening puzzles on his/her own.

Players are dropped in a mysterious black and white world with no instructions whatsoever. They are free to explore by tapping on door ways to move around and the sides of the screen to turn. Collecting important items, memorizing ancient runes, and keeping a sharp eye out are critical to solving Hiversaires many difficult puzzles.

Hivesaires features beautiful monochrome artwork that will pull you into its dream like world. Gamers who remember the classic Mac adventure game The Manhole will feel right at home. An original soundtrack by chipcore artist Aliceffekt sets the mood with head bobbing electronic music.

Adventure game fans in the mood for something different will enjoy Hiversaires. It’s available for about $3 on Google Play.
