Cyber War Reboots A Classic Strategy Game

When people think of strategy titles, the first games that come to mind are usually Warcraft and Command & Conquer. While those are excellent real time strategy games, their impact on the genre has been so powerful that practically every game since has been afraid to deviate from the rigid formula set forth in the aforementioned titles. The result is a tremendous lack of variation in today’s strategy market.

One game sought to challenge all that. That game was Liquid Wars, a unique take on real time strategy that was fast paced and action packed. Players controlled a massive army of particles that would then attack and assimilate enemy particles. Surrounding your opponent was the only way to win in Liquid Wars and led to some tense battles.

This classic strategy title has been reworked into a beautiful Android version called Cyber War. It incorporates the legendary particle based gameplay of its predecessor, but adds great new features like combos, multi-touch controls, achievements, and a bumping soundtrack.

If you’re looking for a different kind of strategy title, Cyber War is definitely one to check out. You can pick it up for free on Google Play.
