Indiana Stone Rolls Onto Android

Endless runners come in all shapes and sizes, but they all have one thing in common. Each of them involve running away from some terrible monster or impending doom. This has been a ubiquitous staple of the runner genre since time immemorial(or around the time smartphone gaming took off). But what if there was a game where you WERE the thing doing the chasing? Well now there is thanks to independent developer TwinSky Games newly released Indiana Stone: The Brave And The Boulder.

Indiana Stone cranks the level of nostalgic campiness up to 11, everything in this game absolutely oozes retro. Rather than control a generic hero making a spectacular escape from a boulder, players are the boulder, and it’s their job to make sure the intrepid explorer goes squish. You see, in Indiana Stone, the hero is actually a thief who’s stolen a helpless idol and its the boulders job to get it back and save the day.

Phenomenal 3D graphics are rendered with a pixelated style that fits the game perfectly. The attention to detail and little Easter egg style winks to the player really help to sell Indiana Stones quirky personality. It’s even got a catchy retro style soundtrack that evokes the classic chiptunes of yesteryear.

TwinSky Games has created one of the best runners we’ve played in a long time and we’d definitely recommend checking it out. Indiana Stone is available now for $2.99 on Google Play.
