Batman: Arkham City Lockdown Swoops Onto Google Play

It seems like ages ago that Rocksteady’s genre defining action adventure game Batman: Arkham City was released for consoles. Its companion game Batman: Arkham City Lockdown came out on iOS around the same time sporting a more touch optimized approach to controlling the caped crusader and while most Android users assumed we would get a port eventually, one never materialized. Its been well over a year but after having landed on the Amazon App Store as a Kindle Fire exclusive a few months ago, Batman: Arkham City Lockdown is now available on Google Play for everyone to enjoy.

Rather than attempt to recreate the sprawling urban landscapes and stealth exploration mentality of its console cousin, Arkham City Lockdown has adopted an Infinity Blade style approach for its gameplay. Players will go one on one in a series of swipe based battles with a who’s who of Batmans rogue’s gallery like Deathstroke, Poison Ivy, Two-Face, and the clown prince of crime himself.

Can’t get enough Dark Knight in your life? Batman: Arkham City Lockdown is now available for $5.99 on Google Play.
