Award Winning Puzzler Slydris Slides Onto Android
After wowing fans and receiving critical acclaim on iOS, the genre bending puzzler Slydris is now available on Android. Made by independent developer Radian Games, Slydris may look like just another Tetris clone at first glance, but give it a closer look and you’ll find an addicting and unique game design underneath.
Each level has a classic Tetris level design to it. Blocks fall down on top of each other until they overwhelm the player and fill the whole screen. The twist here is that rather than controlling the blocks as they’re falling, players will be able to slide individual rows in the stack of blocks that have already fallen.
There is an ever present sense of urgency to Slydris’ gameplay due to the way new blocks are generated. Every time the player slides a block a new piece is generated that will quickly fall from the top. Different modes offer multiple takes on this deceptively deep gameplay mechanic.
Tetris fans will love Slydris’ fresh take on the falling block genre. It’s available for $1.99 on Google Play.
