Run into a Retro Inspired Pixel World in Pixel Runner

Endless runners have become a dime a dozen in recent months. There is only so much that can be done to the overpopulated genre, and as such it takes something unique to peak my interest. Luckily, Karl Woditsch has just released a highly stylized retro-inspired endless runner onto Google Play called Pixel Runner.

Pixel Runner definitely appears to have emulated the look, feel, and sound of games that came before it.  The graphics and sound are obviously inspired by games of the early 80’s (right?), and everything looks and sounds as it should. The soundtrack is especially impressive, and there’s even a Jukebox in the game so you can listen to the tunes whenever you want.

Pixel Runner is also packed with a good amount of content that is sure to keep any gamer running for a while. In addition to the traditional arcade mode (endless mode) there are 72 individual challenge levels, and in game achievements that will certainly put your skills to the test. For an endless runner there sure is a lot of content in this one.

Sprint on over to Google Play to download this unique (and free!) endless runner.
