Get Your Portal On In New Puzzle Shooter Pulse Infiltrator
Indie developer ShootARay, best known for the twin stick shooter Aftershock, is back with an intriguing new take on the first person shooter called Pulse Infiltrator. A sublime hodgepodge of several different genres, Pulse Infiltrator manages to be both unique and familiar.
As members of the Pulse underground resistance, it’s up to players to storm the headquarters of the evil Citadel corporation to face its twisted defense system and end Citadel’s reign of terror once and for all. This bleak vision of the future sets the stage for the best puzzle FPS on Android.
At first glance, Pulse Infiltrator looks very much like Portal and although the two may share similar art design, their gameplay is very different from one another. Players will use telekinesis, gravity manipulation, and other physics bending powers to solve deadly puzzles left behind by the Citadel’s automated defense AI. This computer personality is less concerned with cake and more interested in gunning you down with an army of defense turrets. The addition of traditional shoot ’em up game mechanics in Pulse Infiltrator was a wise design choice and is a great way to break up the monotony.
If you’re the type of person who likes to do more in a first person game than just shoot everything in sight, you’ll definitely want to check out Pulse Infiltrator, it’s available for $1.99 on Google Play.
