Kung Fu Quest: The Jade Tower Coming Soon
Fans of old school action games like Karateka and Shinobi will soon see a modern addition to this forgotten genre courtesy of independent developer IPlayAllDay Studio who is gearing up to release the amazing new side scrolling fighter Kung Fu Quest: The Jade Tower very soon. By updating the classic beat ’em up formula popularized by 16-bit consoles with modern graphics and gameplay design, IPlayAllDay has created a terrific game that looks every bit as addicting as the classics that inspired it.
As a martial arts master that has been sent back in time to stop an evil plot to destroy the world, it’s up to players to fight their way through an army of deadly ninjas, samurai pandas, and gun toting sharp shooters led by their unstoppable leader who resides at the top of the Jade tower, Chong Lee. Kung Fu Quest’s free flowing combat allows players to seamlessly dish out attacks on multiple opponents at the same time while building up huge combos and juggling enemies around the screen like a rag doll. There is even an extensive combo customization system for tweaking every aspect of your warriors fighting style. Add in crisp hand drawn graphics rendered at a silky smooth 60 frames per second and Kung Fu Quest looks like the best fighting game we’ve seen come to Android in a long time.
Kung Fu Quest: The Jade Tower is expected to launch at the end of this month, so we don’t have very long to wait to play this nostalgic beat ’em up.
