Super Fast Nintendo DS Emulator DraStic Coming Soon

Emulation fans rejoice! An incredibly well optimized Nintendo DS emulator is on its way to Android courtesy of OpenPandora developers Exophase and Lordus. While DS emulation on Android so far has been limited to proof of concepts, Exophase and Lordus’s emulator, known as DraStic, not only has a cool sounding name but is also capable of playing games at full speed with a dizzying array of options.

DraStic offers multiple screen layouts that allow the user to tailor fit each game to their Android device, as well as different touchscreen control schemes and gamepad support out of the box. Its high quality audio output sounds just as good as it does on the DS itself, and it even has a working microphone.

Check it out in action below.

So when will we get our hands on this awesome new emulator? According to Exophase it will be arriving on Google Play very soon for around 8 dollars.

It’s incredible that most games seem to be running on full speed. I’d imagine this would run superb on a tablet where you have enough screen real estate to display both screens of the DS.
