Kickstarter Backed Match-3 Combat Game Combat Cats Scratches Onto Google Play

Combat Cats is a new retro inspired brick matching game that is unlike anything you have seen before. All of the catnip from Kitty Island has been stolen by the evil fish army and you’re the islands only hope!

The game is a mix of puzzle, gem matching, RPG, and adventure that is sure to appeal to gamers of all ages. At first glance you’re probably thinking that Combat Cats is just another Bejeweled clone; but you’d be wrong. The gameplay doesn’t have you sliding tiles across the board but rather you can pick up and move any tile wherever you want on the game board. This unique style of play adds a nice level of strategy to the gameplay, which is rarely seen in this kind of game.

The tiles you move cause a variety of different effects that will help you as you battle the hordes of fish-like enemies you will encounter. You have rockets, fire, poison, and freeze that will damage your enemies, repair that will fix up any damage that you receive, and coins that will be used for buying new upgrades. After each battle you are also awarded a score based on how well you did, and are given more coins and some catnip. The coins and catnip are used for buying upgrades in the shop, or new ships for you to take into battle.

  • Match bricks in any pattern you want.
  • Earn extra points and do more damage for bigger combos.
  • Fire off nuclear weapons!
  • Pop pesky water bubbles that block your game board.
  • Upgrade stats, weapons, aircraft!
  • Unlock achievements!

If you’re a fan of puzzle games, you like fun retro-inspired games, or just love cats you’re going to get a real kick out of Combat Cats. This unique brick-matching game is available for the very low price of $0.99 on Google Play, so fly over there now and get started on returning peace, err… catnip, to Kitty Island.
