It’s super charming art style, endearing story, brilliant level design, and endlessly addictive gameplay make it one of the best game releases in recent memory. Seriously. You’d be hard-pressed to find a game as well rounded or as polished as Boogey Boy on Google Play!

The Career Ladder from White Zebra

The Career Ladder is a fast paced twitch-arcade game that will really mess with your head (or it has done so with mine at least). Your goal in the game is to successfully climb the career ladder by either jumping (a short jump) or juuumping (long jump)… up it’s infinite staircase. Small jumps will take you up individual steps while long jumps will take you across the big gaps. Think quick though as you’ve only got a fraction of a second to decide your next move before the floor falls out from under you!

Do you think you have what it takes to climb the Career Ladder? Find out today by downloading this free gem from Google Play!

Explodey BAM! from Steffen Wittig

Explodey BAM is an incredibly charming quick tap’em game that’s all about, well, exploding anything that pops on screen. Glasses? BAM! Typewriter? BAM! An adorable innocent kitten? BAM! Everything needs to go and it’s up to you to clean house! Tap tap tap, bam bam bam! Just keep on tapping and you’ll build up that high score in no time. Be sure to download Explodey BAM today for the explosively low price of free!

Five5 Minutes from Z3LF

Five5 Minutes is one of the most interesting games I have ever come across. At first glance you’d think it to be nothing more than a simple platformer – but it’s so much more than that. Five5 Minutes is part puzzler and part platformer, but not in the traditional puzzle-platformer style. You’ll move around the game world with the goal of collecting all of the hidden keys in under five minutes. Each of these keys unlocks a new room for you to explore – and this is where the puzzle gameplay comes in. All of the rooms that you unlock appear on a grid and they can all be moved around as you see fit. However, to progress further into the game you must align these rooms in a way that allows you to continue along this journey. It sounds easy but it can be quite the challenge. Trust me.

Five5 Minutes is a charming puzzle-platformer that is quite unlike any that have come before it. It’s unique gameplay combined with it’s spooky yet charming pixel art stylemake it an absolute must play! Download it today from Google Play for free!

Flat Out from Smashed Crab Studio

Flat Out from Smashed Crab Studio is a fast-paced minimalistic match’em game that’s all about making loops. You will be sliding your finger around the screen with the goal of connecting as many of the same colored hexagons as you can. You’ll have to be quick about it though; you are constantly burning up fuel and the only way to get more of it is to make more loops! Oh, and as you may have guessed, but it’s game over once your fuel tank hits empty. WE NEED MOOOORE LOOPS, CAPTAIN!

Flat Out is a fun yet challenging minimalistic arcade match’em game that definitely deserves to be checked out. Download it from Google Play today for the severely loopy price of free!

Glue Knight from Balázs Buri

Glue Knight is a stunningly awesome 2D side-scrolling platformer that is sure to test not just your reflexes but also your patience as well. It is tough! Very very VERY tough!

Your adventure will take you through the game’s six gorgeous locales as you hunt for the six Wold Diamonds. You’ll jump over gaps, avoid deadly traps, and you’ll of course slash your way through any enemy that gets between you and your goal.

If you are a fan of side-scrolling platformers and you don’t mind a bit of a challenge you really must download Glue Knight Right away! You won’t regret it!

Hypsterco from C.I.T.Y. Games

From the developer of the hit indie title Cordis comes a the new minimalistic music game Hypsterco. The gameplay in Hypsterco is relatively simple: swipe on the screen to rotate the square in the middle of the screen. Your goal: line that up that square with the next incoming square. Doing this successfully will reward you with points while failing to do so correctly will decrease your health and also take off a bit off your score too. All the while you’ll be treated to a fantastic minimalistic art style and some seriously bouncin’ tunes!

Hypsterco is a fast-paced minimalistic arcade game that all gamers should check out. Download it today for free from Google Play.

ICE from Ice Cold Muffin

ICE from Ice Cold Muffin is a game that any fan of real-time strategy games shouldn’t be without. You are put in control of an arm of ant-like ships that you will send to capture any enemy base that is connected to another base (you see, capturing not connected bases would make things a little bit to easy for y’all). If you manage to control every base in the world you come out as the victor, and if you lose every base… well, you lose. Simple enough, right?

If you are a fan of RTS games you really should download ICE right away! You most certainly won’t regret it.

Iconic from Flow Studio

Iconic from Flow Studio is a fun new fill-in-the-blanks trivia game that’s got one heck of a lot style! Your goal here is to figure out what pop-culture reference is being portrayed by the game’s minimalistic hand-drawn icons. For each puzzle you’re given a few minor hints: the hand-drawn icon itself, the pop-culture category it falls into (Movies, Music, People, etc), and the number of letters needed to spell out the answer correctly. That’s it. The rest is up to you to figure out!

The trivia puzzles can be a bit tricky at times but once you start thinking outside of the box a little bit you’ll start to find things a lot easier to solve. Thankfully the hand-drawn icons are well designed and never lead to the cause of any frustration that might arise.

Iconic’s great minimalistic art style and fun trivia-based gameplay make it an absolute must download. Grab it for free today from Google Play!

Lightning Hero from Silly Pants

I was always under the impression that lightning never hit in the same place twice… but that’s certainly not the case in Lightning Hero from Silly Pants. No sir-ee. You see, Lightning Hero is a fast-paced arcade game that puts you in the shoes of a young lad that just wants to collect coins. Unfortunately for him he has chosen quite likely the worst place on Earth to do it: a field that is under constant onslaught from deadly lightning strikes. It’s up to you to dodge the lightning and collect as many coins as you can before getting zapped.

Lightning Hero is an incredibly fun fast-paced arcade game with one of the best retro art styles around. Download it from Google Play today for the shockingly low price of free!

Papee from Andrey Torchinsky

Papee is an adorable retro-themed dodge ’em up that is both utterly bizarre and ridiculously awesome. Using simple touch-and-drag controls you move a floating dog head named Papee around the game screen. Your goal is to stay alive for as long as possible while also gathering as many stars as possible. You’ll find yourself up against a rather bizarre set of obstacles though – venom spitting snakes, fire breathing dragons, gigantic sharks, and even a truly crazy cat head! They’re all interesting and quite bizarre and each one requires their own unique strategy to deal with them successfully.

Papee is a fantastic arcade dodge-em/collect-em game with one of the very best retro designs I have seen on mobile devices. The colorful and often hilarious art style combined with the truly awesome retro sound design makes Papee stand out as something that absolutely needs to be checked out. Download it today for free from Google Play!

Sausage Dog Diving from TOK

Sausage Dog Diving from TOK is an infuriatingly difficult arcade game that takes a simple concept and makes it next to impossible to master. You see, a sausage dog gets launched from a cannon and you must successfully direct him through randomly placed pipes as many times in a row as you can.

The controls are easy enough to learn; simply press on the screen to make your sausage dog dive. But where Sausage Dog Diving’s difficulty comes in isn’t through it’s controls but rather through its demand for near pin-point accuracy. You’ll have to stay totally focused as  success is determined by mere milliseconds.

Sausage Dog Diving’s simple controls and ultra challenging arcade gameplay it stand out as something truly special – and I highly recommend giving it a looksie. Who knows, this might just be the next Flappy Bird

TAP Cat from Seneka Studios

I don’t know what it is but I’m always drawn to game’s with cats. So really it should come as no surprise that I was instantly excited when to see Seneka Studios’ new game TAP Cat. In TAP Cat you are put in control of three adorable cats that want nothing more than to catch their tiny Super Meat Boy-esque ‘pew pew’ friends as they fall from the sky. And this would be an easy enough task (well, kind of at least) if it weren’t for the annoying grumpy spider-thingy’s! Well, I guess you’ll just have to pay close attention to which of these critters ends up in the circle above your cat buddies before you try to catch them.

TAP Cat is a truly beautiful (just look at those screenshots!) arcade game that definitely deserves your download. Get your paws TAP Cat today by heading over to Google Play and downloading it for free!

Vect from Ice Cold Muffin

Vect is another great new arcade game release from the indie developer Ice Cold Muffin. While ICE (see above) is a game that’s all about strategy Vect is not so much so. Vect is all about twitch gameplay that requires quick as lightning reflexes.  The goal is simple enough: tap on the numbered squares as they appear on screen and earn points for doing so. Oh, but there’s a catch: – you can’t let these squares touch!

Vect is an extremely addictive twitch-action arcade game that shouldn’t be overlooked. The gameplay is a blast and it’s stunning minimalistic-confetti art style is really something special. Download Vect today for free from Google Play!
