Insane Twitch Arcade Game Brave Bomb Explodes Onto Android

When recreating a classic game for any platform developers usually take one of two approaches, either they make a cheap knockoff of the original or as is the case with indie studio New Day Dawning they build on and experiment with everything that made the game that inspired them so great. New Day Dawning’s inaugural release Brave Bomb falls firmly in the latter category, as this steroid infused homage to Frogger brings creatively addicting arcade style action to Android without forgetting its roots.

Brave Bomb starts where Frogger left off by adding in clever new twists to the formula that bend the rules without breaking them. Just like Frogger the object of the game is to get your character, in this case a ticking time bomb about to explode, to the other side of the screen but this time around things are a little different. There are more than just cars to worry about now as players will have to worry about such obstacles as giant spikes, a cartoonish horde of explosive-prone creatures, and rapidly spawning laser grids just to name a few.

You can tell Brave Bomb has been purposefully designed to be addicting without being unfair, a laudable feat for a twitch mobile game meant for quick pick up and play sessions. The game has a great sense of progression both within each individual round and overall due to a steady stream of positive reinforcement. There’s loot and power ups scattered everywhere, as well as a ton of extra characters to unlock that each come with their own unique perk.

If you’re in the mood for a crazy awesome new arcade game that’s got a lot to offer, be sure to check out Brave Bomb! You can pick it up for free on Google Play.
