Epic Tapfest RPG Clicker Brings Casual Roleplaying To Android

For all the criticism video games get for being mindless entertainment the recent “click fest” sub-genre phenomenon certainly isn’t doing them any favors. But as long as this admittedly bizarre game style is around we might as well have fun with it, especially considering there are some genuinely intriguing titles out there such as the mesmerizing new click fest RPG Clicker from indie developer Epic Pixel. This faux retro casual game is by no means the first to take a stab at infusing the genre with RPG elements, but it certainly is the best thanks to a few extra gameplay mechanics that more firmly place it into roleplaying territory rather than just another click fest with RPG window dressing. There’s a real sense of progression built into RPG Clicker that feels a bit more honest than your average cynical attempt at manipulating people into a Pavlovian response.

Make no mistake, the core mechanic of RPG Clicker revolves around tapping on your devices screen until it breaks or you have to stop playing and see a chiropractor for your newly developed carpal tunnel syndrome, but it does just enough to add a little extra spice to the experience that will keep players coming back for more. There’s a ton of extra loot to be had, seriously OP bosses to be pwned, and crazy spells to be learned which gives RPG Clicker players quite a bit to pine for not to mention an experience point based level up system that lets players customize their character to their liking.

Ardent click fest fans will definitely want to take a look at RPG Clicker. You can pick it up now for free on Google Play.
