Retro Inspired Puzzle Platformer Pavel Quest Lands On Android
An addicting new Super Meat Boy inspired platformer by the name of Pavel Quest has arrived on Android that instills an interesting rapid-fire puzzle approach into the classic sidescrolling formula. Created by indie developer ElevenSeventy as their debut title, Pavel Quest gives off its own unique vibes thanks to charming retro visuals and imaginative level design supported by smooth gameplay. In this great new retro platformer it’s up to players to escape a massive fortress filled with all sorts of deadly traps and merciless puzzles.
As the dashing young hero Pavel who has narrowly escaped from the clutches of his arch-nemesis Lukas players must survive over 30 hard as nails levels that each present their own harrowing challenges. The game design behind Pavel Quest is simple but great as players control an auto-running Pavel with only single taps needed to make him jump out of harms way. In addition to its satisfying platforming action Pavel Quest also dynamically incorporates a number of puzzles into the mix to keep things interesting. There’s even a really neat replay system that shows all the times you died beating a level at once which makes for a cool visual.
Platforming aficionados will definitely want to take a look at Pavel Quest. It’s available now for free on Google Play.
