Free Open Source Platformer Fur-Guardians Leaps Onto Android

A very cool and completely free new 16-bit retro platformer called Fur-Guardians has arrived on Android, bringing with it a litany of impressive features usually only found in bigger titles like character creation, unlockable gameplay upgrades, and endless replayablity due to its procedurally generated level design. Created by indie developer Pandcorps, Fur-Guardians is a Mario-esque 2D platformer sporting highly adjustable gameplay that allows players to tweak the game how they want over and over again without ever experiencing the same stage twice. Players take on the role of one of the land of Fur-Guardia’s most staunch protectors as they run and jump their way through old school style levels complete with plenty of coins to collect and enemy heads to stomp on. Experienced gamers will definitely want to adjust the difficulty settings straightaway as by default death is disabled so as not to discourage younger players, but this can be changed to a more palatable Sonic The Hedgehog style setup whereby picking up rings(coins) is the only way to gain a shield. To further add to its tweakability Fur-Guardians is also completely open source in addition to being absolutely free, meaning checking this one out is a no-brainer for retro platforming enthusiasts.
