Relive Retro History With Open Alpha For Console Crossover Kbyte

If variety is the spice of life then the upcoming history spanning action adventure game Kbyte is sure to deliver a tasty experience. This retro inspired ‘Museum’ style game from indie developer Pulsartronic has a wide array of different game types to offer that have all been styled after a specific classic console. Like a digital version of going over to that one friend’s house that had all of the game systems when you were young Kbyte gives players the ability to choose from a treasure trove of legendary game boxes such as the Atari 2600, NES, Game & Watch, and more with each one sporting their own unique look and playstyle. For example, booting up the legendary NES will start a very faithful recreation of the Mega Man series whereas utilizing the Game & Watch presents a classic LCD arcade minigame inspired by the golden age of handhelds. Although still early in development with only 5 consoles represented so far Kbyte is already shaping up to be a fantastic experience that looks to illuminate a new generation on the strengths of historic gaming. You can play the alpha now for free on Google Play and if you’d like to see the full game come to Steam as well be sure to vote for it on Greenlight.
