Unleash Your Inner Archer In Retro Metroidvania Pixel Arrow

After gaining a following with the great old school throwbacks Pixel Sword and Staff indie developer HomeWorld Arts is back with the third and best chapter in its retro sidescrolling series called Pixel Arrow that refines the gameplay of its predecessors while incorporating a nostalgic metroidvania style format. As a fearless arrow slinging adventurer out on an epic quest to stop the machinations of an evil sorcerer it’s up to players to prevent the end of the world by fighting hordes of monsters en route to defeating powerful bosses and unlocking new abilities to gain access to previously unexplored areas. Perhaps the most important addition to this sequel is the new arrow shooting mechanic which is really well done and helps to elevate Pixel Arrow above its stablemates thanks to thoughtful enemy placement making use of the bow & arrow’s trajectory based fire. If you’re a fan of metroidvanias be sure to take a gander at Pixel Arrow, you can pick it up for free on Google Play.
