Addicting Survival Brawler BioBeasts Roars Onto Android
I gotta hand it to the folks behind BioBeasts, an addicting new arcade brawler now available on Android, I had thought that making a stationary defense beat ’em up engaging was essentially impossible nowadays due to the glut of poor quality shovelware infecting the genre but I was proven wrong in the best possible way. Released by Artix Entertainment, BioBeasts combines the insanely cerebral beat ’em up action of One Finger Death Punch with the immense mutation-centric replayability of Nuclear Throne to deliver a level of design variety that will keep you coming back just to see what you’ll unlock next.
As a ferocious mutant monster locked up in a robot run research facility it’s up to players to rampage their way to freedom by bashing apart the hordes of mechanical security guards that stand between them and the many floors they must ascend in order to exit the base. As players defeat each level they’ll encounter more and more cleverly designed enemies that utilize different quirks to toy around with players’ expectations like buzzsaw enemies that dance around the screen and a gigantic boss that likes to overwhelm players with swarms of missiles. In between each stage players can select from a random pool of mutations like in Nuclear Throne that gives them access to intriguing game-altering abilities, with multiple unlockable monsters available to augment things even further. If you’re a fan of beat ’em ups or arcade style reaction games be sure to check out BioBeasts, you won’t regret it.
