Mesmerizing Experimental Music Game inSynch Rolls Onto Android
No, not the insufferable boy band from the 90’s, inSynch is instead a positively gorgeous new music game that blends excellent stop-motion animation with clever composition mechanics to deliver a unique experience that would be akin to if Guitar Hero had been designed by a musical savant. Created by indie developer Them Games in collaboration with animator Sylvain Derosne and musical artist EK, inSynch is a high-minded piece of interactive art that doesn’t forget to include engaging gameplay unlike many of its peers. As lively stop-motion animated shapes dance towards a hole in the center of the screen players must tap at precisely the right moment in order to launch them over an acidic pool and build up their score with every success and failure contributing to the musical number in an intuitive fashion. In addition to its standard musically minded mode there is also a high score attack mode for those looking for a challenge which is a nice touch. Music game fans or anyone looking for a more artistic gaming experience will want to check out inSynch. You can pick it up now for $1.99 on Google Play.
