Commodore 64 Strategy Remake MULE Returns Trots Onto Android
It’s been a bit of a wait but the 2013 HD iOS remake of the classic Commodore 64 strategy game MULE has finally arrived on Android with the appropriate title MULE Returns. The original MULE was a complex mesh of real time and turn based strategy for up to 4 players on the Commodore 64 where players competed to control the most land and was mechanically very ahead of its time when you consider the hardware it was running on. This new remake of the legendary land-grab simulator keeps the classic gameplay intact while jazzing up the presentation value a ton and making the controls accessible for single player use on mobile devices. In contrast to most strategy games the object of MULE Returns is not to fight ones opponents but instead it’s to own more land and earn more space cash than them before the intergalactic trading quarter ends. MULE Returns has a lot of nuance to its mechanics as in addition to an intricate system of micro-management players will also engage in hostile bidding wars in order to get the best deals on materials and undercut their business foes. Whether you’re a fan of the original Commodore 64 classic or are looking for a unique strategy game be sure to check out MULE Returns. It’s available now on Google Play for about 3 bucks with no iaps in sight.
