Hop Till You Drop In High Flying Endless Platformer Whizz

Platformers are notoriously difficult to nail on mobile platforms so when one manages to stay on my phone for any extended period of time it’s usually doing something right. Such is the case with Whizz, a seemingly simple but well crafted endless platformer that flew in under the radar back in February and has surprisingly been able to garner a few moments of my interest here and there ever since. Created by indie developer Simon Docherty, Whizz tasks players with bouncing an enterprising wizard across an endless array of platforms whilst endearing pixelated monsters lob all manner of deadly projectiles in his path. What makes Whizz worth playing is its excellent platforming mechanics that reward precision platforming and high yet fair level of difficulty that will appeal to sidescrolling buffs looking for a proper challenge. If you’re a fan of platformers and are up for a no-nonsense experience that will put your skills to the test be sure to give this one a go, just don’t forget to mute the music as it’s not exactly Grammy material.
