Novel Snake RPG Kerohiro The Flag Bearer Marches Onto Android

It’s been a while since we last checked in with indie developer Lek Chan, creator of the charmingly hyperactive arcade style ‘Sudden Bonus’ and ‘Sudden Edamame’ games, and in that time they’ve really stepped things up a notch with an epic new Snake inspired RPG by the name of Kerohiro The Flag Bearer that successfully branches out into a different genre for the developer while still retaining their signature polished retro design aesthetic. While you may be immediately tempted to think of Nimble Quest when it comes to another genre bending interpretation of Snake, Kerohiro manages to have a legitimately different feel to it that makes the combat feel much more tactical as well as incorporating far more RPG mechanics than in the largely arcade-esque Nimble Quest. In Kerohiro The Flag Bearer players take on the role of the titular amphibious character as they recruit an army of froggy friends to help fight back against a nasty army of rival frogs alongside the occasional monster or bandit. Those who enjoy the Snake style of strategy combat but missed traditional RPG elements like actual character leveling, equip-able items, and questing will definitely want to take a look at Kerohiro The Flag Bearer. You can pick it up for free on Google Play.
