One Button Vertical Platformer High Risers Leaps Onto Android

The developer behind such indie gems as Time Surfer and Bean’s Quest is back with an addicting new one button platformer called High Risers that evokes the spirit of old school platforming classics without any cumbersome control schemes getting in the way. Created by the folks over at indie studio Kumobius, High Risers is a charming pick up and play retro romp that gets a lot of mileage out of its straightforward concept due to its fast paced arcade gameplay and great presentation. Players are challenged with ascending ever more complicated skyscrapers one floor at a time with their only ability being able to time their jumps by tapping at the right moment as their character runs left and right across the screen.

That is easier said than done however due to these towers having missing walls and empty chasms that will send players plummeting down below in a parachute should they fail to react in time. In addition to scaling each floor players will also have to contend with more traditional platforming sections that connect different high rises and evoke the precision required in tough as nails genre staples like Mega Man. There are quite a few characters and neat looking themes to unlock which helps give the whole affair additional longevity. Fans of platformers will definitely want to check out High Risers.

High Risers is free to download on Google Play with micro-transactions. It is also available on iOS.
