Aquatic Arcade Shooter Boat Battle Blasts Onto Android

A great new arcade survival shooter in the grand tradition of Spy Hunter dubbed Boat Battle has sailed onto Android with beautifully chaotic naval combat that belies its more humble nomenclature. Created by indie developer Fervid Studios, Boat Battle mixes together classic shoot ’em up mechanics with an open ended ocean environment that places the emphasis on slick maneuvering. It’s up to players to outrun and outgun an armada of deadly police boats for as long as possible as they navigate mine infested waters.

While the controls behind Boat Battle are a simple two button affair the actual combat mechanics are surprisingly nuanced as players are able to both amass a diverse array of weaponry to fight back with and out-pilot enemy boats in order to pull off trick maneuvers like lead them into mines. Different weapon upgrades like missiles and flamethrowers help to even the odds alongside single use power ups such as a mini nuclear blast. Players can also unlock additional boat types that sport their own handling quirks and set of upgrades. Fans of shoot ’em ups looking for something different will want to take Boat Battle out for a spin.

Boat Battle is free to download on Google Play.
