Reality Distorting Runner Glitched Dashes Onto Android
As a general thing you usually don’t want glitches in your games however a novel new platforming-centric endless runner appropriately titled Glitched has arrived on Android with the daring idea of buggy gameplay as its central premise. Created by indie developer Studio Aerizy, Glitched is a surprisingly thematic sidescroller that sees a lone stoic pixel attempting to rebel against the literal powers that keep him confined to his error-prone 8-bit world. It’s up to players to help him escape this digital domain by leaping and squeezing past a gauntlet of oncoming obstacles that have a tendency to become invisible at inopportune moments, like when they’re about to slam into you.
It’s this ability for obstacles to phase out of sight that gives Glitched its own personal feel as in addition to being a challenging runner in its own right it also incorporates rapid-fire memorization mechanics that keep players on their toes at all times. Damage from an unforeseen obstacle can be mitigated by players leaping into the air to catch errant pixel particles that act as one hit shields which become especially useful when the game ramps up to high speed. Headgear lovers will undoubtedly have a field day with the many goofy hats players can unlock for their character and the background NPCs cheering them on. Endless runner fans and those looking for a way to exercise their memory will want to take a gander at Glitched.
Glitched is free to download on Google Play.
