Platforming 3D Runner George E. Sheep Trots Onto Early Access
An endearing new family friendly 3D runner that pays homage to games like Crash Bandicoot by the name of George E. Sheep has arrived on Android through early access. While it may be thematically appropriate for all ages by no means does that equate to a low difficulty level as this endless platformer from indie developer Joel Detter has plenty of challenge to go alongside its charming cartoony visuals. Players take control of a particularly agile young sheep as he runs about an obstacle filled world gobbling up apples and completing missions to unlock cool new stuff.
In order to keep their sheepy friend out of harm’s way players must swipe to move left/right and tap to jump so as to avoid running headfirst into a barn door or falling off a bridge into a deep canyon. As players traverse George E. Sheep’s lushly animated 3D world they’ll occasionally find helpful powerups that can get them out of tricky situations like an umbrella that lets them fly or a wheelbarrow that smashes through everything in its path. There is a ton of unlockable content that can be accessed both through spending apples and completing certain challenges. For an early access game George E. Sheep is already off to a terrific start and will likely only get better as it takes further shape.
George E. Sheep is free to download on Google Play.
