First Person Platformer Sky Run Leaps Onto Android

A new high flying platformer that shakes things up with its first person perspective by the name of Sky Run has made its way onto mobile devices. This straightforward but engaging 3D runner from indie developer Varun Dewan challenges players with jumping across a never ending strata of precariously positioned platforms using one touch controls that still provide a surprising degree of finesse. A good example of a basic concept elevated by smart design, Sky Run brings platforming into the 3rd dimension in an intuitive manner.

As players auto-run forward they must tap on the screen to jump with the height of their leap tied directly to how long they hold down. While some games afford players a double-jump in Sky Run each individual chasm has its own finite supply of extra jumps that players must make full use of in order to cross which helps to keep things spontaneous. Midair pads like speed boosts that launch players through the air and teleportation portals that zap them backwards dot the skyline with players needing to react to their presence accordingly. By collecting enough gems players can unlock additional perks, maps, and a whole new game mode. Platforming aficionados will definitely want to take a look at Sky Run.

Sky Run is free to download on Android and iOS.
