Sidescrolling Shoot Em Up Die-Mensions Barrels Onto Android
A nostalgia tinged sidescrolling shooter done up in the ever classy Game Boy motif dubbed Die-Mensions has sauntered onto mobile devices. A straightforward but structurally sound ode to the bronze age of mobile gaming from indie developer Icebox Games, Die-Mensions challenges players with staying alive after becoming trapped in a perilous alternate dimension filled with all sorts of life-threatening mechanical fauna and manic monsters eager to prevent your return trip home. Players will have to run and gun their way through hordes of bullet spongy enemies while taking their time with tricky platforming sections.
Like the old school shooters it takes after Die-Mensions gives players the ostensibly simple task of reaching the end of each level which is of course easier said than done considering all the nasty stuff in the way. Players must jump and shoot using on screen buttons that further contribute to the Game Boy aesthetic. As they progress further and further they’ll encounter even hardier enemies and more demanding platforming sections which is sure to be a plus with shoot ’em up connoisseurs. Old school sidescroller fans will have a gas with this blast from the past.
Die-Mensions is free to download on Android and iOS.
