Artillery Runner Archer Dash 2 Takes Aim On Android
A novel new retro themed runner that makes smart use of its premise in order to do things you won’t see in its peers dubbed Archer Dash 2 has made the trek onto Android. Released by indie developer Gray Giant Games, Archer Dash 2 is an intense hybrid runner/shooter where not only do players have to dodge oncoming obstacles but they must also engage in physics based arrow slinging if they want to survive. This added dimension of being able to both dodge and pre-emptively attack certain threats in advance helps to give Archer Dash 2 a flavor all its own.
As players auto-run across the screen they must hold down to jump or drag to shoot in order to bypass the next obstacle without sustaining damage. Aiming a shot enables a sort-of bullet time mode where everything slows down to a crawl as players are given a brief moment to line up their arc for maximum efficacy. In addition to a gauntlet of pixel peril players must also face off against powerful bosses that will put their run and gun skills to the test. A bunch of a different characters can be unlocked by collecting the plentiful gold that adorns the walls of each new run. Shooter fans looking for something different will be fascinated by Archer Dash 2.
