Mario Maker Style Platformer Jumping League Lands On Android

An interesting new retro platformer with robust level sharing mechanics by the name of Jumping League has made its way onto Android devices. Created by indie developer Thunderrock Innovations, Jumping League takes after paragons of user-generated content such as Mario Maker by giving players an endless stream of new stages to play thanks to an easy to use level editor that makes creating and sharing one’s designs a snap. It’s up to players to see how their platforming skills stack up against the rest of the world as they overcome increasingly challenging retro gauntlets filled with tricks and traps.

Players move about the screen by way of virtual gamepad controls that allow for left/right movement and the use of a special ability. There are several playable characters with their own unique attributes to choose from such as a dragon that can shoot fireballs or a bird that descends through the air at a slower rate. Levels can be created directly on one’s device using an intuitive touch based system that has players dragging block pieces onto a grid array. Mario Maker fanatics and retro platforming aficionados will want to take a gander at Jumping League.

Jumping League is free to download on Google Play.
