Posh 3D Tap ‘Em Up Gentleman Ninja Jaunts Onto Android
An endearingly haughty new arcade tap ’em up about a top hat wearing ninja with a sense of class dubbed Gentleman Ninja has sliced its way onto mobile devices. This fast paced 3D pseudo-brawler from indie developers Scott Moakes and Samuel Beattie tasks players with making sushi out of an endless army of colorful enemy warriors while the very ground beneath them gives way to a bottomless chasm from whence no mustache, no matter how fashionable, may return. It’s up to players to outrun said collapsing architecture while hacking hordes of gregarian ninjas apart in rapid succession without missing a beat lest they lose precious seconds engaging in frivolous exchanges of steel.
Players simultaneously move and attack using a pair of blue and red buttons at the bottom of the screen in order to swing their blade at corresponding ninjas and advance forward. Dawdling for more than a split second or pressing the wrong colored button will waste precious time that players can’t afford to lose what with the rapidly increasing loss of footing and all. As their score begins to rack up so too does the pace which can make for cerebral gameplay as players attempt to properly dispatch their rapidly approaching assassins based on pure reflex. There are a ton of silly outfits to unlock all of which are obtained through completing challenges alone which is a nice throwback to the games of yesteryear. Fans of fast paced arcade style combat will have a blast with Gentleman Ninja.
Gentleman Ninja is free to download on Android and iOS.
