Puzzle Platformer Heart Star Comes To Android For Valentine’s
Hot on the heels of its iOS launch last week the retro style puzzle platformer Heart Star has arrived on Android to commemorate Valentine’s Day. The latest from Super Dangerous Dungeons developer Adventure Islands, Heart Star is a charming pixel platformer about two erstwhile friends working together to bridge the gap between their differing parallel dimensions. It’s up to players to reunite these lost lovebirds by swapping back and forth between them as they jointly overcome tricky platforming sections unique to their side of the pond.
Players must carefully move the two characters around logistically challenging environments using virtual gamepad controls and a button to change which one they’re controlling at the time. The level design in Heart Star is quite crafty and usually requires having the star crossed protagonists work together to bypass obstacles they couldn’t overcome on their own. Whether it’s flipping switches to open doors or standing on one another’s heads in order to walk across a spike pit Heart Star does a great job of building upon its core premise. Platforming aficionados in the mood for something more cerebral will want to take a gander at this lovely retro inspired puzzler.
Heart Star is free to download on Android and iOS.
