Prepare To Click In New Incremental Action RPG Tap Souls
Following the fiasco that was Slashy Souls a new indie developer has stepped up to the plate to deliver their own version of a “mobilized” Dark Souls called Tap Souls. Released by developer TaleSoft Studio, Tap Souls is an impressively faithful clicker RPG adaptation of the legendary series with several signature elements such as bonfires, flasks, and ally support making the transition onto mobile intact. This surprisingly strategic incremental action game tasks players with defeating increasingly stronger enemies by wailing on the screen as fast as they can while making smart use of their abilities and healing items. Much like in Dark Souls players will collect ash from their fallen foes that can be used to upgrade their stats and customize their build but must be wary to spend it wisely as if they die they’ll lose all the ash they’re carrying and will have to fight their way back to the same spot if they want to retrieve it. While not the full Souls experience Tap Souls is a nice approximation that stands above most of its peers in the clicker RPG genre.
Tap Souls is free to download on Google Play.
