Aquatic Antics Ensue In New Retro Style Sidescroller Rupert

In the spirit of fish friendly 16-bit sidescrollers like Ecco The Dolphin comes a charming new pixel art adventure game about a dapper young fish with a bow tie called Rupert. This old school inspired survival romp from indie developer Calango Studio puts players in the fins of the titular marine protagonist as they explore sunken locales filled with perilous puzzles and hidden collectibles. Rather than any cumbersome virtual gamepad controls Rupert instead uses a touch friendly 360 degree movement scheme that allows for a more intuitive degree of locomotion while still retaining its retro style feel. At the behest of a tophat wearing blobfish it’s up to players to carefully guide Rupert through each level while solving puzzles and nabbing items without slamming into a wall of spikes in the process. With its laid back 16-bit graphics and free form approach to movement Rupert will make a splash with fans of games like Ecco The Dolphin.

Rupert is free to download on Google Play.
