Knight’s Tour Review
Do you like puzzles? Do you like Chess? Then oh boy, are you in luck, as both worlds collide in Knight’s Tour by Fynteam.
In Knight’s Tour, your goal is to strategically move the Knight (yep, the horse from the game of Chess) around a map of tiles until you have collected all the coins placed on the map.
Sounds easy, right?
Well, it would be, if it wasn’t for the fact that the tiles you stand on start shattering each time you move, and merciless instant-death spikes appear occasionally as you move away from a tile. Oh, and did I mention you have to defeat other known Chess-bricks too, such as the King and the Tower? Needless to say, it will take even the most adept puzzle-gamer several hours to complete the over 100 levels and bonus levels in Knight’s Tour, not to mention unlocking all the many achievements and new character skins.
Luckily, the game tutorial is very thorough, continually introducing the player to new gameplay mechanics and tips & tricks throughout the first 10 levels of the game.

Overall, Knight’s Tour is a fun and solid indie game, but with a monetization model that involves both in-app purchases and forced (obtrusive) video ads, the game can’t achieve more than a 3-star rating from me. The game is still worth checking out if you like Chess games or intend to purchase the ad-free version.
Summary: Knight's Tour is a simple but polished and fun puzzler with plenty of levels and interesting Chess-inspired gameplay mechanics, but is dragged down by one too many obtrusive videos ads.
