Dungeon Crawling Gets Strategic In New Zelda Style RTS Red Bros

Following an initial soft-launch last week the Zelda-esque real time strategy game Red Bros is now available for Android devices worldwide. Created by Korean indie developer Play Hard, Red Bros takes the puzzle-centric dungeon crawling of A Link To The Past and merges it with intuitive squad based gameplay in order to put an interesting strategic twist on the 16 bit action rpgs of old. It’s up to players to take command of a band of diverse hero types as they storm the perilous towers of an evil skeleton king and rescue their comrades in arms from captivity so they can join the fight. Players direct their units around the battlefield with taps and simple but effective gestures that allow them to adopt strategic formations even when in the middle of a ferocious battle with an end-level boss. Avoiding Zelda style spike traps and making smart use of powerful spells like teleportation are key to victory when attempting to make it through Red Bros’ labyrinthine dungeons in one piece. Strategy fans will have a great time with this genre-bending mashup.

Red Bros is free to download on Google Play.
