The Smiler, Subliminal Messages And Rollercoasters

unnamed (90)

The Smiler is one of the weirdest games to come out for Android. The Smiler is an actual roller coaster being built at the Alton Towers Resort later this year. To promote their thrill ride, Alton Towers Resort has released a video game version of the attraction. Surprisingly, this game is both fun and twisted. You control the cars of a roller coaster and must keep it balanced or risk having the whole ride come off the rails and to a screeching halt. Maintaining balance will reward you with speed boosts and a higher multiplier which will in turn unlock extra features.

The Smiler is all about subliminal messaging. Random references to Dick Cheney, the Mona Lisa, brainwashing and phrases like obedience is your 5 a day give this game a very unique style.

– Experience the intense thrills, twists and turns of the ride ahead of its Spring 2013 opening
– Take control of The Smiler ride cars and the minds of the rollercoaster riders
– Steer a perfect line through the inversions of the ride
– Take advantage of the boost to maximise your scoring potential
– Upgrade the rollercoaster step by step by unlocking loops and psychological effects

The Smiler is free to play on Google Play.
