Award Winning Sandbox RPG Terraria Tunnels Onto Android

After wowing gamers on consoles, PC, and even iOS Demilogic’s critically acclaimed 2D RPG Terraria has finally arrived on Android courtesy of 505 Games. This open ended side scrolling adventure is a sandbox style role playing game with unabashedly old school roots that has drawn comparisons to games like Minecraft with its intricate item creation system. The similarities end there however as Terraria has more in common with classic games like Castlevania or Metroid.

Players find themselves thrust into a harsh, untamed world without any real objective except for survival. They’ll have to fight off wild monsters, create weapons from scratch, and build a shelter in order to make it in Terraria’s unforgiving landscape. Being proficient in crafting and being prepared with the proper resources for each situation is just as important as battle prowess in an interesting twist on the classic RPG formula. From there they can explore literally anywhere in the game, be it by riding a jetpack up to cities in the sky or digging down to the dankest parts of the underworld where lava and powerful bosses await.
