Prevent Ragnarok In New Arcade Survival Brawler Gjallarhorn

An action packed new Norse themed beat ’em up by the name of Gjallarhorn has arrived with an interesting new take on survival based fighting mechanics. Dubbed ‘back ‘n slash’ by its creator, indie developer No Wand Studios, Gjallarhorn tasks players with forestalling the Norse apocalypse as Heimdall by defeating wave after wave of Loki’s monsters attempting to cross the rainbow bridge that serves as the entrance to his home realm. Rather than a simple left-to-right brawler here players must instead defend a stationary position as enemies come from both directions which forces them to run back and forth across the screen in a mad dash to stop monsters from getting close to their goal and running the timer out. Unlike games such as One Finger Death Punch Gjallarhorn gives players a lot more freedom of movement and acts as more of a traditional beat ’em up while still keeping things tailored to a pick up and play environment. Players also have access to special moves and power ups which helps to even out the odds and gives proceedings more of an arcadey feel. If you’re in the mood for a great mobile brawler take a look at Gjallarhorn, it’s available now for free on Google Play.
