Charming New Retro Platformer Stitchy Leaps Onto Android

While there are runners everywhere you look on Android nowadays an honest to goodness quality platformer like how they used to make them is a rare sight indeed. Thankfully, one such specimen by the name of Stitchy: Scarecrow’s Adventure has arrived with endearing 2.5D Donkey Kong Country esque visuals and uber nostalgic platforming gameplay in tow. The brainchild of indie studio Polygoat, Stitchy puts players in the straw shoes of a plucky young scarecrow out on a quest to recover all its stolen corn from a dastardly troupe of anthropomorphic tree stumps that will stop at nothing to leave him ‘ear’-less. With its charming Castle Of Illusion style presentation and polished 2D sidescrolling action that hearkens back to the 16-bit era Stitchy has a lot to offer to fans of old school platformers. You can pick up Stitchy: Scarecrow’s Adventure for free on Google Play.
