TurboGrafx Inspired Arcade Shooter MadRobot X Hits Android

A charming new arcade style shoot em up that takes after the golden age of TurboGrafx-16 shooters by the name of MadRobot X has arrived with tons of personality and its own signature twist on the genre. The brainchild of indie developer José Neto, MadRobot X is a polished oldschool inspired shooter where players must help just the head of a giant killer robot escape from the mad scientist’s lab where it is being created by blasting away at an armada of automated security using a giant overpowered laser that has been smartly woven into the overall game design. Using a smooth ‘relative’ style control scheme allows for precise movement as players zip about the screen shooting an eye full of laser at any lesser ‘bots that dare to stand in their way. Enemies are well designed and do more than just fly about in patterns such as interesting landmine style enemies that explode in a hail of bullets when defeated. There are also extra challenge and nightmare modes as well as full support for controllers. If you’re a fan of classic arcade shooters you’ll have a blast with MadRobot X. You can pick it up for free on Google Play.
