Sci-Fi Tower Defense Game Solar Siege Warps Onto Android

Prolific tower defense developer Origin8 has returned to the genre it left its mark on with a slick new 3D strategy game set in outer space called Solar Siege. This polished space station defense epic from the team behind the Sentinel series puts players in charge of their own personal Deep Space Nine as they attempt to build out their zero gravity fortress using massive amounts of raw materials while hordes of marauding alien pirates attack. A spiritual successor to Origin8’s previous title Space Station: Frontier, Solar Siege re-imagines it’s predecessor in a much grander fashion.

As players defend their space flotilla throughout the galaxy they’ll need to balance constructing additional mining operations for the surplus cash flow with keeping the station safe due to the ever expanding extraterrestrial threat. Using the spoils of war in an intelligent fashion is of the up-most importance to survival as players will be able to research and unlock a ton of useful building types that can help turn the tide of battle in a pinch. Impressively chaotic combat accentuates Solar Siege’s nice 3D graphics and atmospheric audio helps round out the overall package. Fans of tower defense games will have a blast with Solar Siege’s intuitive strategy mechanics.

Solar Siege is free to download on Google Play.
